Linda y Hechicera

This artist I found on Instagram immediately caught my eye. I like texture. I like things that jump out at me and feel like I could reach through the screen and touch them. The more I scrolled the more entranced I was by her use of color and the mesmerizing effect her paint had as it enfolded upon itself. Then I read one of the descriptions on her serpent painting... She is an auto-didact. Like me. Ah a sigh of relief. A self-taught artist like myself. There it is. That was what resonated. I hear that word thrown around a lot lately, but it doesn't quite fit this situation. That is what echoed in her artwork and piqued my curiosity. I saw in her what I hope others see in me.
