I Felt it in my bones

Today we learned "felting." The wool came from sheep, and was dyed pretty colors. I made a morpho butterfly 🦋 I layered several colors and then on top of the wings I added a sheet purple organza. The effect is interesting. The organza shows exactly where the needles protruded. I don't hate it.

Is it the prettiest thing in the world? No definitely not. But I'll try adding other fibers and start layering more wool for a 3D effect. Hopefully it will turn out more aesthetically pleasing. "Trust the process" as they (artists) say...

It was Salem-approved. He found it to be a lovely cat cushion.
